Meet the Team
James Hoke, Founder
James joined the family staffing business, founded by his father shortly after WWII. After serving as Marketing Director, he forged his own path, founding Med-Call Healthcare in 1989. In his spare time, James loves spending time with his grandchildren and getting in a round of golf or a tennis game.
David L. Hoke, CEO
David began his professional career in the real estate finance industry. His entrepreneurial spirit shined very quickly as started his first business, a successful residential and commercial mortgage firm, only 3 years after graduating from Indiana University.
In 2010, David decided it was time to enter the exciting, dynamic healthcare industry and join the family business. Since his first day, David’s goal has always been to build upon the principles set forth throughout Med-Call’s rich history while continually evolving the business. Today, he oversees the business as CEO and is more excited than ever to pursue his vision of providing an incomparable experience to Med-Call’s customers and employees for years to come. In his spare time, David loves laughing with his wife and daughters and skiing as many days as possible.
Amanda Gibson, Credentialing/Payroll Specialist
Amanda Gibson has nearly twenty years of experience in a variety of settings within the healthcare industry. Amanda received her Nursing Assistant and Restorative Nurse’s Aide certifications in the winter of 2000, and seized the opportunity to work in various clinical settings, increasing her knowledge and expertise. After 10 years in the clinical setting, she decided it was time to branch out with her career. She found her passion for credentialing and compliance when she began working for an insurance company and the rest is history. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys painting and spending time with family and friends.
Julie A. Mulligan, Senior Healthcare Recruiter
Julie has 24 years of experience in healthcare staffing and holds a B.S. from Western Illinois University. By taking her time to get to know each individual client and applying her understanding of this dynamic industry, she shines at recruiting, credentialing and staffing quality healthcare professionals.
Kim Paplaczyk, Account Coordinator
Kim joined the Med-Call team in 2018 and is an account coordinator working with many of our top tier clients. Kim puts an emphasis on developing strong relationships, saying “it is the foundation of everything I do, both professionally and personally.” Kim is a member of the NAHCR (National Association for Health Care Recruitment) and continually strives to learn new and improved insights to recruiting and staffing. Kim has a personal goal to sit for the Certified Healthcare Recruiter Credentialing certification in the next few years. After a long stint in the city, Kim made the move to the suburbs where she finds her inner peace while gardening and hiking. Her biggest joy, however, is spending time with her 7 nieces and nephews.
